Remove Glovebox
I am needing to install a new blower motor and it looks like the glove box needs to be removed. Anyone done this? Directions on removing the glove box?

Your vehicle 207.453, thought you visually inspected after removing lower right panel is the reason why i asked: "are you sure".

I tried removing the blower motor a couple of months ago and could not get it out. I disconnected the electrical connections and released the tab. I could rotate the motor a bit, but not enough to get it out. I didn't force it and seemed like it was getting caught on something. After reading the directions above, I was thinking maybe it was catching on the glove box. I guess that is not the case. All this being said, I can't get under the dash to actually see the motor. I am working through pics from my phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, I just did this last week (and, yes, with Konigstiger’s help!).
I don’t know if you need to remove the glove box or not, but I needed to.
Boy, I sure could have used the the instructions for removing the glove box! The one screw I did not see was on Step 5: Remove bolt (6).
I was having the exact problem you are having - the blower motor was getting somewhat hung up on the glove box.
Like I said, I did not have the instructions for removing the glove box; however, I figured out enough of it (except that one step) to at least loosen it up to move enough of it out of the way to be able to remove the blower motor and put the new one in.
I have to say, without being able to pretty much lay down in the footwell and see what you are doing seems like it would be a lot more difficult.
But good luck!
(Edited: Well, I can see how if you are able to fully remove the glove box then laying down in the footwell is possibly not necessary.)
