Passanger side power seat..
Yesterday I noticed that my passenger seat is no longer powered. Before I make an appointment with the mechanic, can anyone suggest what repair that I might be able to diagnose/fix myself? everything else is perfect. Many thanks.

Mark
I noticed that the power seat slides forward when I fold the seat back (chrome lever) flawlessly. Only the (passenger) door control is deceased. I would rather extract one of my husbands teeth...than tackle removing the door panel, so off to the dealer next week ( I guess?). I did use a flashlight to examine all connectors under the seat. All seamed to be factory fresh in every way ( especially cleanliness). Quite odd.
Kind advice very much welcome.

ps. whatdaya know about fuses? Drinks are on me. I do own a hammer.
Door panels are not difficult to remove, and the switches are easy access/replace as a general rule. Well, for me, because I do that sorta stuff. You I guess not so much?
Where the fuse is on your car I can't say for sure, but there should be a fuse box under the hood and one on the left side of the dash, which is covered by the door when closed. It's hidden under a plastic cover. The hammer will open it but I use my fingernails to get under it and pop it off. I can post a pix if you need. There are also some fuses in the trunk, behind a door in the carpet.
I'm going on memory for the fuse locations since I got rid of my '13 E350 ~3 years ago. Not sure what year yours is, it may be very different but probably not by much.

Konigstiger on MBworld can help with info if you give him the VIN and year and what you need (location & issue etc)
He's a life saver :-)
Today is car wash day..I'll take a look inside of the trunk. But...I've never changed a fuse before..unsure how to remove the old fuse..and I am not sure how to determine if a fuse is bad. I will learn something today! Then I'll probably take it to the Mercedes dealer... hahaha.
Motor on,
Mark

The fuses are located in various fuse boxes:
fuse box on the driver's side of the
dashboard
fuse box in the engine compartment on the
left-hand side of the vehicle, when viewed
in the direction of travel
fuse box in the trunk on the right-hand side
of the vehicle, when viewed in the direction
of travel
The fuse allocation chart is located in the
vehicle tool kit ( page 290) in the stowage
compartment under the trunk floor.
good mini fuses have the tiny metal strip in the middle in a "u" shape
blown minifuses will show a burnt section with metal missing from the center
here is a link to a pic showing you what good and blown fuses look like

Of course you can..very easy...just remember if you find a blown fuse or damaged fuse to replace with the same rated fuse. if it fixes the issue your golden, if not at least you know there is an issue with that circuit.
I would recommend you invest in a good code scanner that can scan the car thru the OBD2 port and identify any issues. It gets very expensive having Mercedes diagnose your car and they arent always great at it.

Last evening I located the fuse box in the trunk (passenger side) that hopefully will contain a bad fuse. I am slightly intimidated with this project, as there are so many fuses in the little box. The fuse puller that I ordered will be here in 3 days. Then I will put on my big boy underwear... and proceed.
Cheerio,

ps I spy what appears to be a few extra fuses in the box (I think). I know that the replacement fuse must be the same as the blown fuse. oh lord.....

There should be a fuse chart in the trunk as well so you know which ones to look at

the issue with my non-working passenger side power seat door controls was a simple repair. A connection had come loose (maybe near the door hinge?). I didn't realize that the window and lock were non functioning , also.
The repair took 12 minutes..no charge ( except tip).
A happy ending.
