How to swap out the AC pump E500 Cabrio ( 5.5) U.K spec
Hi all,
I have a very rare ( here ) E500 cabrio that has a noisy A/C pump. Struggling to figure out how to get it out without either dropping the subframe or pulling the engine!
Has anyone done the job previously, that could give some insight on how it’s done?

Taking A/C apart is easy compared to getting it to work well. The circuit needs to be vacuumed with pump, dryer need replacement as soon as it gets aired out .
Refrigerant recharge needs to be weighed precisely on a scale... it's a royal PITA.

Let me ask how old are serpentine + tensioner + idlers. They can get noisy!
