W207 Dash Rattle High Speed
I’m perplexed. My W207 has a rattle that sounds like it’s coming from behind the steering wheel area. The strange thing is that it only occurs when I’m driving on the freeway at speeds above 80 km/h.
Thinking it was wind-related, I stripped everything in the engine bay (covers, rubbers, etc.) that I thought could be the cause and took the car for a drive, but the noise remained the same.
Now I’m wondering if it’s inside the cabin. The weird part is that it doesn’t happen when driving in town, regardless of the road conditions.
The noise sounds like a loose plastic piece rattling or vibrating against another.
Any ideas.....?
PS. Strut mounts and shocks have been replaced.

The best way to know what is the cause of this issue is to go to the automobile repair shop, they will be in better position to repair such issue!

How old are your ENGINE+TRANNY MOUNTS?
These 3x rubbers parts become noisy to ask for service attention.
Other maintenance parts become expensive when ignored: ATF, Diff, Prop-shaft, coolant...
