Question Anyone in Costa Mesa California?

I'm trying to get some seat covers made by Wet Okole. https://www.wetokole.com/?srsltid=Af...AjqdEldWB4Ds5P
I've had them on all my cars for years. They preserve the seats and don't look bad. I'm not concerned about the heated/cooled seats so don't bother bringing
that up. Wet Okoles on my old 2009 E350, Say what you will, but they save the side bolsters. The seats look perfect if you take off the covers years later.

So the problem is, Wet Okole doesn't have patterns for our C/A207s. They would need to measure the seats at their location.
I was wondering if there was anyone the lives in/near Costa Mesa that could drop by their shop so they could measure the seats.
I'd owe you a case of beer or a bottle of scotch if/when I see you.

Full address is:
Wet Okole
1670 Sunflower Ave,
Costa Mesa, Ca 92626

Yes, I know this is a long shot, but why not try.

I've got Wet Okele covers in my '95 RRC to help preserve the Connolly. I'm kinda surprised they don't have a pattern for C/A207s, but it just takes one...

Out of cutiosity, when you had Wet Okole covers, did it essentially defeat the side airbag in the seats.
I am seeing some big wear on my drivers seat at the left bolster and want to prevent further issues.

No, the seat covers accommodate side air bags. They are built in such a way to allow the deployment of the air bags.

Wish someone would stop by their shop.

BTW, the side bolster wear is what I'm trying to prevent.

Is there anything in it for the person putting in the work for you? Or are you just expecting someone to spend a bunch of their time and allow some stranger to crawl around in their car for free?

Putting in the work???? All I asked was that if someone lived near Wet Okole to drop by and take 30 minutes out of their busy schedule
and let them measure the seats. I wasn't asking anyone to build me a house. Jeeesuus.

I would consider it work to expend time and energy doing something for someone else that doesn't benefit you. Nothing wrong with charity for the needy, but that's not what this is.

If someone wants to do it for you, awesome! But in general, you probably shouln't expect people to do stuff for you for free that involves time and effort on their part.

Hence my comment in the original post, "it's a long shot, but why not try".

No, haven't received a receptive response. I just got some temp covers to help with the seats.

Don't ask me why the Chinese put "Always" on the back of the seat. Wish they covered a bit more, but better than nothing.

Sorry about dude who was berating you for considering a favor as work. You promised anyone who took you up in the area, that you would buy them a case and a quart(750ml). That’s not nothing.
I used to live very close to Monterey. If I still did, I would take you up on the offer in a heartbeat.
I definitely loved living in California, the natural beauty of the state is astounding.
But as it is now, I don’t know how anyone lives there.

The seat covers you got look fantastic. I love the look along with your patterned carpet. Nicely done. How are you enjoying your coupe? I will say I have had great success that my leather in my 2012 E550 C207 has not torn or ripped and I have had the vehicle for 4.5 years.

I'm loving the car. Quite a bit better than my '09 Sedan (which was a great car too). Just a few things I think MB did a bit better
with this model, especially the user interface on the steering wheel. The '09 was a nightmare trying to get to the screen I wanted.
Has to be one of the top five cars I've owned. Got rid of the auto start/stop, and fixed the oil solenoid and she's running like new
(she only has 23K miles on her)

BTW, a lady ran into me in a parking lot and pushed in the bumper. I'm fighting with her insurance company (shock) and was wondering
if anyone has any tips on how to claim "diminished value" because I know it's going to whack me when it hits CarFax.

The parking lot collision would dovetail nicely with “parking in the wilderness, and other threads where our members proactively attempt to say out of the way of parking lot idiots.

Except, invariably I can park in Timbuktu and come out and someone has parked next to me. Happens more often than not. I always try to park on an end spot and leave room. Doesn't help
though when you back out and someone runs into you.

Hey @TexasMule

I am in Orange County and happy to do this for you when I have some free time. Sorry, I am late to the party. I haven't logged into here in a few months...

If the finalized covers look, fit, and feel good, I may be interested in purchasing a set for myself, if reasonably priced.

I have a 2014 C207 E550. Send me a direct message and let's set something up with Wet Okole!
