I need to replace the battery on 2011 E350 Cabriolet. Will I loose the settings when doing so? If so is there a method around this without having a obd2 setting cable?
Thanks for the reply. I have been researching but there seems to be conflicting info. Also not sure if w204 and a207 are the same procedure. Since I am not with the car what is the correct size battery, H6, H7 or H8?
I am considering hooking up another battery to the positive and negative jump posts to make sure no lost settings? I guess I will have to measure the length of the battery to determine the size. I believe that length the only difference between the H6-8.
Thx for the help. I’m not sure if I needed to but I hooked up battery charger to jump terminals then replaced the battery. It turned out to be a H7. The old one was 7 years old. The job went smoothly for once.
My previous battery was 7yrs old when it stopped holding a charge and I replaced it. That was a Mercedes battery. I bought the same replacement MB battery because it was actually the least expensive I could find. I had totally forgot about Walmart at the time. Next battery I will probably get it at Walmart since its cheaper and dont have to deal with a core charge/return.
And now I have a Noco genius charger I will hook up occasionally so maybe the battery will last longer.
