E Class Cab A238 Video mode - help please

I have a 2 week old (from new) e- class A238 Cabriolet.
I have been trying to play video (MP4 and MKV which are supported) while stationary but no luck. All I get is sound and the 2-inch by 2-inch screen within a screen.
If I press fullscreen a message pops up 'You cannot use this while in motion' even though I am not, I am parked with the engine running (or ignition only on) in P.
I am sure it is supposed to play videos until driving starts, then it should go off.
I have tried all the available settings in the media section of Comand.
Can anyone confirm that it should play videos while not moving so that I can take it to my dealer to fix?

My biggest question is how do you have an A238 in June? Isn’t that the 2019 model year?

had a similar problem.

my fix was to re encode the file as MP4 with handbrake.

once re encoded i copied to SD card and file played fine.

Ah, ok that's my mistake. I thought this was the code for all e class cabs. Also, 238 is the first part of my VIN number after WDD.
If that's not correct then let's say I have a May 2018 production car delivered in late May.
