Just ordered mine today!
E450 4MATIC Cabriolet.

Selenite grey, 22r wheels, designo black/grey, premium, heated/ventilated front seats, HUD, 12.3" instrument cluster, park assist, advanced lighting, soft close doors, illuminated door sills, wheel locks. With USAA discount, it sneaks just under 80k.

Build scheduled second decade of December, delivery early January. Was worried about HUD but they didn't see any issues in the system. Also, wanted brown glossy wood and the warmth/comfort package but they're incompatible with the designo leather which was a requirement from the wife. Will have to get used to the lack of spare tire and passenger "oh crap" handle, and after I confirm my VIN I'll order a reprogrammer to enable eco start/stop memory because i hate that crap.

Interestingly, the logo projectors weren't even listed in the ordering system... but if they come through eventually, they can be installed after the delivery. So psyched... I've always wanted a convertible but I'm 6 foot 8 and almost nothing fits me... the E fits me like a glove though with room to spare (nobody can sit behind me but whatever)!

Let the waiting and watching Youtube and reading reviews begin...

Interesting info about the HUD availability. My E53 is scheduled for a November 3rd build. When I placed the order on September 19th, the HUD wasn’t available. The dealer was able to configure the car in his system with the HUD, but when the order was submitted, the HUD was not available. The dealer has been trying to add it since with no luck. Since I dont want to delay the build, it looks like I’ll have to go without the HUD.

We'll see... I guess I could live without it or wait an extra month or two if need be. Probably won't know for sure until it gets near its build time in December. When and how did you get notified about the lack of HUD? That way I could keep an eye out for it and figure something out. I wouldn't mind pushing out my build date but I'm afraid of MB just telling me outright that they're never going to be available.

Maybe they're getting some in in late November? Fingers crossed...

I was notified as soon as the dealer submitted the order that we had configured. HUD was unavailable from day one. Availability may be model specific. I drove an E450 Cabriolet with the HUD before I ordered my E53. I’ve read in these forums that the HUD has been intermittently available in 2019 cars, but I haven’t seen any posts that it has been available in the E53.

If you ordered a few weeks earlier, HUD might have been available! We placed our order on Aug 28 and went through. Logo projectors were already not available then but like Not2Tall4Cab mentioned, they can be ordered and installed at delivery.

The 2019 E450 Sedan is now on MBUSA. https://www.mbusa.com/en/vehicles/mo...s/sedan/e450w4
The E450 and E53 Coupe and Cabriolet can’t be too far behind.

Did they give you any idea when you will actually get the car? My understanding is that the E53 hasn't been released in the US yet and is being held at the VPCs.

He said by the end of November which I think follows that release date calendar that says second half of November that is floating around these blogs.

with the exception of true AMG, it looks like your specs and my MY19 E450 cab are the same. I LOVE the Black Ash wood, the AMG wheels with Black Accents and the Nappa leather.

Thx Sack! I think I will like the red stitching as I wanted a little something to break up the dark interior but not too much. I saw an E53 at Road Atlanta that had the Black Ash and I too really like it.

I wish I had the contrasting color stitching, too. If I had opted for the E53 I would have selected the same as you. I didn’t get the AMG wheel through, because I really wanted the heated steering wheel. I’m not sure why the AMG sport wheel can’t have hearing elements though.

I believe the 2019 E53 has COMAND version NTG 5.5. Does anyone have documentation to confirm this?

The AMG Nappa Leather sport steering wheel in the E53 can be ordered with heat.

I live in Florida so not too worried about the heated wheel and to be honest I didn’t even use my heated seats when I lived up north but, they would be nice.

The NTG system is more than COMAND navigation. It’s the entire operating system for vehicle settings, control and configuration.

After about 9-10 weeks since dropping it off in Frankfurt the car arrived at dealership and we picked it up. Man I missed it...

Recently all photos from this forum on my iPad or iPhone are blurred. They are fine on a PC. I don’t think I changed any settings. Anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

I'm noticing it occasionally even on my PC, maybe some sort of initial compression algorithm or something.

Beautiful car, congratulations. I sat in a car with that interior and it really stands out, especially in this class.

I noticed that neither the 2019 AMG E53 nor E450 Coupe have an option for the “Acoustic Comfort Package” that is available with other Mercedes. Does anyone know why? Do they maybe inculde acoustic glass as standard?
The Acoustic Comfort Package is an $1,100 listed option on the sedan version of the 2019 E450 and E53, but not the 2018 E400 Coupe. Maybe it’s a Coupe thing.

Orca Ace is carrying my ride. Currently half way between European port and Panama. Im told the E53 AMG Cabriolet will be released sometime after Thanksgiving and the first week of December. Anyone else have news on release dates?

I think that the "Acoustic Comfort Package" will only show up on cars with framed doors.
I suspect that the glass is thicker and runs in a wider channel in the doors.
