My sales person e-mailed to say that my E53 Cab was released today.
I hope he is correct.
(It is sitting in the lot at VPC Baltimore.)

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The reason for the fuzziness is that I compressed the file heavily after redacting it and converting it to a .JPG.
Here is what my actual order looked like. Since the car is coming with summer tires, I will probably leave about $4,000 at the parts window for a set of staggered snow tires, rubber floor mats, and a tire fit kit.
The philosophy of this build is stealth. To be fast, comfortable, and not noticed. The only color is a splash of brown on the seats and the wood trim. There is as little chrome trim as possible and the badges will go away.
Sorry about any bragging. I'm a little frustrated waiting for the car to work its way through the VPC and onto a truck.
Never understood the concept of debadging. You don't want people to know you're driving a Mercedes?

As to rusty's question about why "stealth," reasons likely vary from owner to owner. I prefer an understated exterior. One time driving a BMW 7, I stopped at a crosswalk for a young woman who slowed her walk, looked at the car, and gave me the finger. Not provoking any of the widespread and growing resentment towards presumed inequality is a minor factor, but it's at least back of mind. Mainly, I'm also not a car guy in the sense of caring a whole lot about exterior appearance. I get why others do care, and I enjoy their delight at the styles, colors, wheels, and treatments they've poured their hearts into. For me, the interior matters big-time, the outside not so much.
But like I said, reasons vary. For example: Years ago I spent a few days hanging out with Carroll Shelby. He loved nothing better than rolling up to a stoplight in some stealthily unassuming American car, and finding a young buck in a tricked out import revving his engine alongside. You know what happened next.
