Emerald Green coupe
Took a picture of my coupe while having lunch with my wife. Looks better zoomed in. I wasn't sure I would like this color at first, but it has really grown on me. It's no longer offered for 2019, i think Rubelite Red took
its place, another nice color.

Both Emerald Green and Rubellite Red are colors that virtually disappear on a cloudy day; looks great during a sunny day. Wonder how they look at night under artificial lights?

I'm waiting for some dealership (within reasonable driving distance) to get one of each in so I can compare/contrast. Had the opportunity to see one of the first '18 Emeralds at my local dealership last August, but since the car hadn't been through the pre-delivery routine, the color just didn't pop. I'm debating Rubellite, but have reservations based solely on pics (hues seem to vary from brown through purple). Fortunately, when Emerald is clean (like the OP's), I find the color to be a welcome change from the endless shades of gray/black/white/silver which seem to be staples of the MB product lines these days. But if these colors are anything like the Estoril Crystal Effect on my S5, I think the answer to your question is simply 'dark'.

Under a street light or other light source at night, the metallic green comes through. Otherwise dimly lit or overcast days the car looks black. I’m looking forward to seeing the Rubellite in person, I suspect it may be similar with regards to lighting.

I'm in the process of ordering an AMG E53 coupe in emerald green with Macchiato Beige and Tizian Red interior. You'll have to wait until the end of February for pictures.
