I am having an issue with the rear camera when reversing, more than half the time the camera opens and immediately closes and a non available warning shows, has anybody has experienced this issue?

RD - sorry to hear - I have a MY18 Cab E400 with ~ 9,000 miles and have not experienced this - please do post the ultimate cause & fix ... thanks Steve

My car has been four times at the dealer for it, camera was replaced, the encasing was replaced, it works for a month then it starts failing, is a mystery, that is what I get for taking delivery of the first E400 cabrio out of super early production (25th anniversary)

Perhaps there is a controller unit for the system which has a fault....?

Of course, it's your dealer who needs to figure this out and rectify the issue for you.

Sorry to hear about your camera problem. I noticed that you have a 25th anniversary model. I have the same car. I have never seen another on the road. Currently have 15K on the clock with no issues. Is yours rubilite? I believe they made some in silver. Hope you get to the bottom of your problem. Good luck.

Sorry for the delay, yes the 25th anniversary is rubelite red (I think it is the only color for this limited edition).
Finally the back up camera is working, it was the cable harness in the trunk for the camera, the final fix was done early Dec 2019 replacing the cable harness, it looks like one cable was pinched, the car is 26 months old.

i have the same problem cuz my car came without a reverse camera so i installed it n programmed it but i have this problem can any1 help
