Wind Screen
The ones I have seen on the web are exorbitantly expensive. Is there a better/cheaper source and is it worth it?
Thanks.
My 2019 has the one above the windshield and the one behind the back seats. Sounds like you are saying the non-US models come with a third removable wind buffer?
Is there a way to install the 3rd optional wind buffer without deploying either the rear buffer behind the back seats or the one about the windshield? Asked another way, and ignoring the optional wind barrier you are asking about, is there a way to deploy only the the rear buffer behind the back seats or the one about the windshield, not both?

as far as your other question about the AirCap. They both move together (over the windshield and behind the rear seats) and cannot be operated separately.
I tried to order this as an upgrade on my previous (pre facelift) S cabrio, that was possible, but including 2 new(!) rear panels it was about Euro 3-4K iirc (the deflector only was below Euro 1K, so if you have the mounting holes in the rear panel, it is a viable option imho).
with cover. I thought that was a bit much for some mosquito netting held in a plastic folding frame with some spring mounted nubs to hold it in place. I’m certainly not prepared to pay thousands for one.

I don’t think it will be as simple an install as they let on because it does require disassembling some of the cars interior to get to the attachment point for the mounting bracket.
These are the Mercedes parts that were included. Apparently each side of the car gets a different part number.
This is how the Mercedes part looks after being installed.
It looks like the car was designed with a place to install the mounting bracket.
It looks like I may be buying some nylon trim removal tools. They seem to run between eight dollars and $20 for a basic set on Amazon.
Follow up. My dealers body shop manager installed the mounting brackets for me. He said he did not need to remove the seat and the parts fit easily. Getting to the mounting point, however, was tedious. It seems to help but I'll need a passenger with hair for a final evaluation.

The Aircap and rear screen do a pretty good job, and I'd rather not be drilling into the rear seat trim.

flopping or flying out. When there was nothing in the rear it was also a great wind blocker. Easy to fit and remove. For some reason I still have it though it won't fit my wife's current cab. We are still waiting for a build order on our 2022 E450 cab
but I know it won't fit there either.

of course, on the 4, even with the blocker folded down, you still had the rear seat covered, which may have reduced wind. On the C that’s not the case and the air scarf is useless. Oh well, the only way to know is to try it.
The Airscarf (ie the warm air in your neck out of the front seats) on the other hand works very good on days that are < 16 degrees Celsius and you want to drive with an open sky 😎
