E300 Luxury Sedan > E400 Coupe

Traded in my 2017 E300 “Luxury” sedan for this, an ‘18 E400 Coupe. 9k miles, 48k USD. Premium 2, exterior lighting package, digital dash, but no 3D surround camera. This car joins my 17 AMG GT.

The E300 “Luxury” line was nice, but the ride was very very jittery, not to mention the 2L Turbo was just not enough. The E400 drives soooo much better.

Beautiful car. I'd love to see side by side photos with your GT.

Here you go. Just finished clay bar, power lock, x2 collinite. Arms about to fall off.

So your comment about the ride quality comparison is of great interest and somewhat surprising. Surprised to hear the Luxury line (emblem on the hood) ride was jittery (not disputing it mind you as I have never driven one and consumers said the ride of the W213 was not as good as the W212). Can you expand on this and compare the two. Did you get airmatic with the coupe?

The reason I am interested is if true it would totally persuade me to the coupe.

How bad is the GT's ride relative to either?

I can say that my 2015 W212 rode much softer than my C238. I feel that is in part due to the run flat tires which I despise. Steel suspension on both. I have had E300 loaners, again, due to the run flats, the ride was not as good as my W212. If you find a pot hole, it is FAR more jarring, as expected with the stiffer sidewalls.

That's sweet, love the interior lighting! I just found a 2014 e550 coupe with 28K miles. I'm super picky and the car is immaculate.

Thank you for the response. I have seen another poster comment on the ride quality of the C238 being stiff. I suppose the air suspension might cure that. Looks like I will be driving my W212 for a while longer.

The E400 coupe is my ultimate car, congrats. I think the 400 drives a bit better because it has some more weight over the front axle which will make it feel more planted.
