Just reduce it to the E, make a entry E250 through a E63 cab version.
Keep the SL and SLK.

The 2018 550SL I tested had a tiny antiquated screen in the center control stack, and the rest was dated analogue dials and switches. It felt as if MB was still equipping the SL with the same electronics they used in their 2013 model. The SL's plastic floating diamond front grill looks cheap, and the SL's two non-functioning faux side vents were an embarrassment considering the SL's $120,000 price tag.
While there may be a design element or two I would change on E-cab, I think MB did a nice job with the E-cab. In addition to being priced better than the SL, the E-cab truly feels cutting edge and modern. The best example is the modern looking dash, with its two substantial built in video screens.
If I do go with a 2-seater MB convertible in the future, it will likely be the GT-C roadster. The lack of a hard top does not bother me at all, as the cloth tops on the E-cab and the GT roadsters seem substantial and have a glass back window. What does bother me about the AMG GT-C roadster is MB decision to mount the video monitor (C-class style) to the dash. It truly gives the impression that the screen was an afterthought.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Further Update: the dealer has a cabriolet order that has shown up in their order bank; however they did not order a car, nor did they spec a car. They remain quite confused.

Photos of the SL & our E450. Drive on!

With Avant Garde wheels added after cracking two AMG cast wheels.
What a clean design!
2. Would you mind posting the interior color options?
Had a conversation a couple weeks ago with our sales advisor when I was buying a '17 E400 coupe for my daughter. He said that production constraints due to Covid meant that MB was focusing production on SUV's since they're the volume leaders for the company. He indicated that coupe/cabrio availability for the E-Class would probably be late this year or early next year. I get that dealers and their sales associates are often the last to know something or uniformed but that seemed reasonable.
