2021 E-class cabriolet
New cabriolet

HI guys,

I hope you are all well. I am messaging from across the pond in the UK and need some advice as currently we are in lockdown in England and I can't visit my dealership.
I have a new 2021 E-Class Cabriolet on order since August. I don't have a build date yet and probably wont see the car until next year the way things are going. I was wondering about the dimensions of the wireless charging mat. I have an Apple Pro Max 12 on order that arrives on Friday and i am concerned that it may be too large for the charging mat in the new car. My dealer is unable to supply me the dimensions of the charging mat and because of lockdown, I cant visit them with my 11 Pro Max to try it in one of their existing cars to get an idea.
Does anyone have a new E-Class and can confirm if the cars can accommodate and charge larger phones.

The dimensions of the new phone are
Height 6.33in - 160.8mm
Width 3.07in - 78.1mm
Depth 0.29in - 7.4mm

Many thanks guys.

Kev

I have a 2020 e53 which I assume has the same charger in the cup holder as your new car on order. My 11 Pro Max with a Mous case fits on the charging pad with no problem.

Fabulous. Thanks ever so much. A case-less 12 Pro Max would be the same dimensions as a cased 11 Pro Max. Thanks for you time.

my 11 pro max barely fits in the charging area. The bottom lifts up a tad.

Do you have a 2020 e-class? I was going to go case-less so that would kae the phone the same size as a cased 11 Pro Max

With this case
https://www.mous.co/products/lim-3-p...23709522133050

the 11 Pro Max lays into the charging cradle and charges. I’ve never looked at one edge being up as said in the earlier post as the phone charges as intended. I’ll have to go look again to see if it’s exactly flush. Never had a problem with the charger.

Many thanks. Thats really appreciated. As I said, I intend to go caseless with the 12 Pro Max so the dimensions will be just about the same as a 11 Pro Max fitted with a case. I am pretty sure that the E53 and E-Class Cabriolet have the same charging mat in the same location.

Nearly. I ordered it in late July/early August and had a call from the dealer last Saturday to say that the build starts on February 15th and it would arrive in the UK by the end of February and that I will be able to pick it up on the 4th or 5th of March so not long to go

Wow, 8 months. I’m trying to order one. Dealer can’t even tell if I can order one.

That’s crazy. My dealer couldn’t tell me when it would arrive but they still placed the order for me but couldn’t make any promises as to when it would arrive

I’m still waiting. Was supposed to hear from him yesterday. I don’t understand. Here in the US it’s an $80,000 car.

Yeah that does sound nuts. You would have thought that he would’ve wanted the order. The car is £50,000 in the UK

I’m sure he wants the order. If the computer won’t allow it.

I have an LG droid phone and the conductive charger does a poor job of charging. I left it on the pad for an hour as I was driving and the best it could do was a 2% increase in charge. I had all apps closed and the screen off. The charge indicator was on at the top of the center screen. My S560 charges much better and faster.

I found a dealer that will order the car. 6 months wait. However, they are only offering selling at list price. No discounts. 2021 e450 cabriolet.

When I checked, there were 12 within 500 miles. That’s the Chicago area. Few equipped the way I wanted it. The ones that were , were all spoken for.
