# Activate O or deactivate a the function. The speed limits detected by Traffic Sign Assist are automatically adopted by Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC.

It might be in MBUX> Assistance > Traffic Sign Assist (Three options: Visual & Audible, Visual or Off) Once you set it off, it should no longer change the speed you set for distronic anymore when the camera reads a different posted speed limit.

For example, school zone slow downs on weekends or holidays, or erroneous readings on interstates can be prevented by turning this off.

As for why it might not be working, it is possible that it defaults back to on (like lane keep assist or something else can't remember, every time you start the car just like autostart stop)
Not quite sure if this matters, but try setting it while having distronic on but foot on the brake (and that the surrounding environment is safe) ie. so the car doesn't start moving to follow the car in front while you are setting it)

It is in traffic sign assist. However, you stated the wrong option. All that is is a warning of a change. LIMIT ADOPTION is the option you want. I googled the manual and found it in about 5 minutes. I have a C series. Almost the same.
