Dynamic Seat Bolsters
I recently acquired a beautiful C238 E400 Coupe (MY 18) which has the P3 package. The car has massage seats which work well - although compared to the sedan I feel a little air motor under the seat when its on, which I thought I didn't feel when driving the sedan version. All of the other Mercedes I have owned which have the massage seat also have the dynamic bolster feature, where it inflates the seat bolsters when going around a turn. While I can manually adjust the side bolsters on both front seats, I cannot seem to enable any Dynamic Seat like I could in other models. Was this offered/available on these cars? I do not see it in the seat options in the infotainment screen. If it wasn't available, does anybody know of any modification to get this behavior?
I have GL 550 x166 with FRONT MULTICONTOUR SEAT WITH MASSAGE FUNCTION but I do not have the Dynamic Seat option. I enabled it in the engineering menu but even if I changed the value to 2 - it went back to 0.
Is any additional module needed to add or just the setup has to be changed by Vediamo?

I had spoken with one or two Mercedes Software Modifiers including BenzNinja and they claimed that while they could make the menu appear in the Infotainment UI, there was no guarantee that it would work. I have also been told it requires additional hardware, which I believe wasn't available on my C238.
I've owned many Sedans in the past with the Dynamic bolsters, and they always seem to have a pump and tank in the rear, with lines going to the front seats. In my Coupe, however, I'm noticing that there is a very *very* slight vibration from the bottom of each seat when the massage is on. This leads me to believe that each seat has its own, dedicated air pump below the seat with no "expansion tank". Maybe this is why it doesn't have dynamic bolsters (in combination with whatever control module for this different system)?
I would love to have dynamic bolsters in my car if it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg, but unfortunately I doubt the demand for this modification would be stellar, and therefore the R&D likely won't get spent.

I think that the most important is the MULTICONTOUR SEAT option because thanks to that you are able to pump sides. A saw also that someone with the same option as mine (compared byVIN) is selling GL550 Dynamic Seat Vacuum Pump 0008005648.
So it looks like this pomp exists in my seats too.
I will check via Vediamo what can I do soon.

Please report back what you find! For my car, I can manually adjust the side bolsters on both of the front seats in my Coupe - and it works well. Unfortunately this somehow didn't translate into the Dynamic Seat bolster feature.

Weighing in here. I have a 2023 E450 Cab. waited about 10 months for a slot to order, took delivery in November 2022. I checked every single box ordering every single option, including MultiContour seats. SO frustrated to get the car and not have this dynamic bolster option because I like that more than I like the massaging seats. My 2019 E450 sedan has it. I keep asking the dealer, and no one has an answer as to why the MultiContour no longer includes this. Only one tech surmised that it was a chip shortage back at the time I ordered, but can't imagine this was accurate based on readying this thread. (they did delete augmented reality because of chip shortage). If there is a software update, I'd love to know about it. Even my 2011 E350 Wagon has it, and I love it.

My 14 E250 Bluetec had Dynamic Bolsters and my dad's '18 E300 Sedan has them as well.
I've talked with a few people including Benz Ninja who have told me that it's very different hardware in the Coupes. I wish this was more clear/obvious to buyers as it's a very good, distinct feature that sets Mercedes apart - and it's missing. I still love my current E400, but I won't make that mistake again on the next Mercedes I buy!

I agree, the Dynamic Bolsters is my favorite seat feature, even above massage (close second for me).
