EQ Boost Question...

I currently have a 2012 E350 (C207) since 2016 and I'm looking to upgrade to a 2019 to 2021 (C238).
Coming from a non-turbo 3.5 L engine, I'm curious if anyone has had issues with the EQ Boost system in the current E450?
After doing the research, the 48-volt beltless system seems like an upgrade, but I'm wondering about reliability.

2016 C300 4Matic traded in for a 2022 E450 Coupe
No problems after 18k miles on my 22 E450 coupe. EQ system works seemlessly

2021 E53, no issue with 48v system.
I do keep an eye on the 12V battery in the boot to make
sure it is healthy and does not drain the 48v battery.

MB’s
Lots of issues with early EQ batteries but they have been replaced by now so you are in the clear! The system is excellent! It was an issue over in the CLS, GLE and GLS. Due to the lack of E Coupes made the issue is even less common. Also, it will be under warranty depending on miles being a 2019.

You are coming from arguably the most reliable MB engine ever produced, to a troubled 48V system. The battery and battery management system for MB's 48V system on several vehicle platforms has been problematic. If you have a warranty, the only cost is your time and aggravation. I would not own an MB 48V vehicle, with or without a warranty.

Read the posts above about early 48V builds. You are targeting an early build, and a pandemic build. MB fared worse than other car companies during the pandemic. Don't do it.

Thanks for your insight. I have had BMW, Audi, Toyota, and a few others, and this Mercedes 3.5 V6 has been the most trouble-free.
