Dash light flickers when driving

THat orange dash light with the circle and some dots on each side keeps lighting up when im driving. It doesnt stay on though, it just flickers, sometimes to the point it gets annoying. I dont even know what this light is. Is it for the transmission, engine, or egr or something? Is it for the vacuum system?

Its really starting to bug me. We bought the car 6 months ago (first car, just got my license 3 months ago). We rebuilt brakes, vacuum and almost anything else that goes wrong with the old cars and now the car is great. I never want a new car! After we worked on it Ive driven it for 3 thousand miles and not a problem at all. Anyway, I hope you guys can point me in the right direction with this. I'm starting to think it may just be a loose contact or something, but it doesn't necessarily happen just when the cars moving.

It means that you need new brake pads.

I thought the brake pads trigger the light that says BRAKE when they get thin, besides, i just put brand new pads in. But if it is brakes, it must be a loose sensor or something

The BRAKE light is triggered by the parking brake being applied and low brake fluid.

figuered it out. One of my sensor wires was touching the rotor, causing the insul. to wear through, and causing it to be grounded to the rotor.
