Turbo boost Issue

I just drove my 85 MB 300D 800 miles and it started fine then problems, I hit the hills of Virgina and the car had no power it was dieing on the hills, I did notice that above 3000 rpms the boost cam on and it was like someone hit me in the rear end, it shot up to 80 MPH before I knew it. So the boost will only boost at 3K rpm, any thoughts? I did check my newly install air conditioning and it was 34 degrees, not bad at all.

Check that the linkage to the pump is getting full stroke. If the bushing on the firewall is torn it will significantly hurt performance.

It was not the linkage, however it was a vacuum line, I plugged it back in and all is well. I still have 36 degrees out of the ac in 95 degree weather, awsome thanks guys

Vacuum has no affect on performance.

The line you plugged back in was the one that would give your ADLA the Boost Pressure. It is also a good idea ounce in a while to clean the Bost Pressure Lines coming off of the manifold.
