'82 240d suspension

Just acquired a 240d and and the stock stance has the rear sitting up higher than the front. Would anybody know how i could execute a suspension mod to level it out? I am fairly new to owning the car so I don't even know where to start.

I appreciate your help.

Thats how its supposed to be. Lowering the rear end will change the suspension geometry and cause uneven tire wear.

If it is not looking the same as the other Mercedes 123s you see driving around there are different thicknesses of pads that go under the springs that you can buy.

If thats the case you should figure out WHY its like that. Worn out suspension bushings, bent arms, collapsed mounts, rust, bent spindles, etc etc.

You can change out the rear shocks (30 min if you are quick) it could probably use it anyway. Make sure you buy Bilstein to get your ride back, not NAPA which I initially put on my 240D 5 years ago, they aren't the greatest. Thats why I insisted on Bilstein's for my 300D

Bilsteins are well worth the investment if you plan to keep the car more than a few years. I wouldn't touch anything else.
