Front end alignment issues

I have rebuilt the front end suspension on my 83 Salon (W123). Trying to install the tierod assemblies and I discovered that the length between the connection points have changed, drivers side is fine, passenger side seems to be to long, had to buy a shorter coupling so now both couplings are different lengths as I can’t adjust the toe in due to the threads running out.

it should’ve been plug and play, old for new yet this is where I am. Can anyone answer this question?

Tie rod assembly center mounting point measurements

Overall length of drivers sire tie rod assembly is 15”.

15” center to center. If I removed to old tie rod assemblies and replaced them with new ones, where the difference in the center points come from.

Coupling threaded over entire shank of tie rod, almost maxed out for adjustment

Yet it’s 10 1/2” on passenger side tie rod assembly with not much more room for further adjustment

Tie rod coupling on drivers side has seemingly to many threads exposed

Outer tie rod end on driver side, again…multiple threads exposed slowing full adjustment to toe

Due to the differences in the center distances between the installed tie rod assemblies I had to ditch the 9 3/4” coupling for a Moog 9” coupling because the extra 3/4” maxed out the adjustment not allowing me to set passenger side toe. And these were OEM replacement assemblies. Puzzled.
