Servers, Bandwitdh, custom scripts, i got it all, all unlimited cause i run my own colo so just let me know what you guys want and i will set it up. I already have a good idea for a community site for the club with everyone having their own space for pics and whatnot. All thats left is a name. We can setup a email address and have everyone send over ideas on names, then a few of us take all the ones we think are good and put it up on a Poll here and see what people vote on.

BTW if anyone wants any 1gig free online gmail accounts hit me up on abramt @ gmail.com and i will send you a invite, got like 50.

Thanks for all the support and input , we'll need it to get this off the ground.
I'm kinda feeling Elite 124 or just the number combo without the "club". Since
there's already a Club201 I don't want them or others to think we couldn't be original enough to come up with our own name. This would be a club exclusively for all W124 models and yrs which also includes wagons. I've seen some nice modded wagons around So Cal.

Since there's some interest in parts outside of Cali, let's get the So Cal chapter up & running first so there's a diagram for other chapters to follow suit.. Interested members outside of So Cal please continue to contribute and offer your support and ideas.., That way we can keep KIT and help you start yours in your area..I'm really excited with all the great ideas and support offered, I hope when the time comes everybody remains dedicated.

We should all get together for a club meet/bbq. Nothing so formal but a chance for everybody to introduce themselves as well as a chance for all of us to brainstorm. I think this would also be a perfect time for members to vote or be elected to their particular taks or posts..We need to do this soon so everybody has a sense of organization and every member has a sense of what they can contribute to the club getting off the ground. Let's get an official list of serious interested members going... I just want to add that you don't have to have something to offer to join, like how Chris is handy with the lens so he can be the photographer or E320 offering to host a website. That's not a neccessity all we ask is that you're dedicated and will help your fellow club brothers out with whatever or whenever you can..from the small to the big as long as you try, we don't need club members in name only.,

No Elite in the name. A number / word combo. Elite sounds way too try-hard.

Again,

My younger brother works for a vinyl sticker company that does graffics and logos for things from window signs to company vehicle logos. I'm sure he can find out the cost of making member decals for you guys.

Another reason why we need a good name if we are to display it on our cars. Should be something not too long, but also catchy.

How about something like Beyond Class

it reads

"the one 2 0 four"

kinda like 90210. they didnt use "the 90210"

Thanks guys. I just made it real fast to see if I could come up with anything helpful. Yeah Eric I know what you mean but with 90210 it works, with 124 I don't think there are enough numbers to have it like that, it doesn't sound right to me. Plus I've been to SoCal and I know how you guys say your highway names with "the" in front of everything so I thought since it's a SoCal club it would be kind of clever. :p

That is amazing work, I like it alot minus "the".. Is there a German script(font)?
Let's get a list going of interested members So Cali or not. That way we can really see the potential of future chapters. As well we can add you to the email list to keep you in the loop with club activities etc..
Chris , Professor or anybody else that visits the other MB forums/websites could you please spread the word and see if they're any other W124's that might be interested in joining up...Add your name and location if you're serious about joining...

our freeways are usually said "405 freeway" or "57 freeway" we call the 91 "91." you can use "the" but i would never write: go east on the 405. i would write take 405 east to 10 west to hwy 1 north.

I say "the" before all the freeways here (California as a whole) and Nev. But I would never write them as "the", as in directions.

LOL ok guys. You can make the name whatever you want. By the way The A Team was THE A Team not A Team lol. But seriously, CaliE320,

If you guys do want me to make a logo, come up with a name you all agree on and let me know the size and I can come up with a few concepts for you.

i really like the logo you did. i just prefer it not to have the word "the" in it because it is implied.

I'm feeling both accept there's something missing. Is it possible to add a more aggressive(Bold) font. Maybe something in a Euro old skewl font style?
Old English or something, just tossing ideas out there. I'm thinking we can use
both the one with the Star emblem for the back of our club t-shirts and the
pure dark backgrnd logo for our club banner/decals. So have we agreed on
One2Four as the name?
