sl rims on w124???

i was wondering if any one has put r129 rims on their w124. i have been looking and it sounds like they should fit(16x8 et34). well actually i know they do because my brother had a set on his 260e. the only problem was that they had snow tires sized for a w126. so i guess my question is would they fit with proper sized tires, would any modification be required.
thanx for the input

if they are rims from a current or late model SL they wont fit. those hubs had bigger lugs with the same bolt pattern.

91-93 sl r129 (look same as my stock 15x6 15 holes only bigger and beefeir). and i know it will fit on the hub, like i said before my brother had them on his 260e. only problem is that they rubbed liked hell due to improper tire size. i am just wondering if any one has done put these wheels on with a proper tire that caused no rubbing.

they wont fit unless you have an E500. i took my old rims from my 129 adn put them on my E420 and they rubed like hell! but they fit on the 500.
