Car Tint

Wanted to ask all of you about car tint. I am looking to retint my car but don't know what i should get. I have heard that Formula 1 tint is the best around but noone knows whats the difference with that and regular tint. Anyone here know the difference with Formula 1 tint. Why does it cost more.

Thanks

I like Madico myself.

I've never heard of formula 1. I've heard of 3m, Madico and Lumar.

All will look good.

I have solar gard on mine and had it done here in Tampa. He only charged 140 bucks and gives a lifetime warranty on his work. The stuff I got was "charcoal medium" whatever that equates to. It's top notch....and yeah he removed the 3rd brakelight for it. always look like **** when people tint around that.

your right I would keep it stock or get a really light tint so your interior will not suffer so much in the summer. An also you have light colors inside so is not as hot as my black interior.

Actually, I think your car would go good with tint. Just as long as it's nothing too dark. The think would go great with the body panels and bumpers so therefore it wouldn't be awkward to the look.

zahkust is that 23%? that looks great, are u saying he cut out around the brake light? or he removed it completely? show a pic if u can, i took my brake light out, tinted the whole window and then i put it back and its behind the tint. But solar guard is the best tint around i recomend it to everyone, my shop just ordered 200g worth of tint from them... big clients.

I probably wouldnt be slandering great tint companies like Lumar or Formula one. My last 15 cars have been done with formula one over the last 10 years and come to think of it, i still know a few people who bought cars from me with the same tint and it hasent faded, peeled, discolored, etc. Formula one has a lifetime warranty against the items listed above and they really dont even need to because the stuff works fantastic! Look at your ignorance here..."everything else is ****"??? you call yourself a professional w/ a slanderous post like this...Please. p.s. solar guard which you have ONLY been installing for a whole 3 miniscule years....Cross your fingers and hope for no comebacks.

I have no problems witht he madico onmy car. I had it tinted over a year ago, and still looks just as it did the day I had it tinted.

Plus I got lifetime warranty on it, and My guy did it for $100.00 including removing the old tint.

anyways. can somebody with some free time please photoshop some tint onto my car? just no dark tint. maybe colored tint. like a light silver...

I have 5% Lumar tint all around on my car. It's a Black 400E. I like it very much because my interior was very hot in the winter(black interior). Get whatever you like, but make sure you check your local laws, in my area i get pulled over often. Certain states do have permits, including NY, that you can get. I'll post a pic tomorrow after i wash my car(raining today).

Percentage I really don't know which number is refered to as that. The product is HP charcoal 22. He removed the brakelight completely, tinted it out and then put it back. So it was done correctly and good thing in that we found 2 fossilized insects in there. LOL.
