Don't even install the AMG badge on the trunk. It's OG knowing the fact that the AMG Ducktail has the original AMG logo before MB bought them out and made the new logo of "////AMG"

Mine is on the right, I like the newer badge better, makes the car look that much newer and updated with design. Even though most people around here don't even understand what AMG means, they often think its a dealership badge---

only the DUCKTAIL that has it molded in the wing goes on the left.
AMG_ERIC I don't mean to correct you and answer my own question but here is the AMG manual.

LOOK THIS IS THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR. OH AND THE CAR IS GOING TO GET PAINTED SOOOON!!! JUST FINISHING MY REAR AND FRONT BUMPERS

ANY ONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET SOME SIDE SKIRTS?

I had seen some cool front spoilers for our cars a while ago but lost the link.. anyone know of any good sources that don't need heavy mods to the bumper? I was thinking about making one out of either fiber glass or carbon.

Myfirstbenz:

I had not thought of the moomoo analogy but I see your point. I guess I will just go with Black Pearl all the way down. And to the other question floating around, I am going to be putting a Sportline logo on the right side of the trunk. I can't decide to use the same type as on the side of the car or have an aluminum shop cut a logo in the AMG type font.

Smokie:

I think I will try and get down your way pretty soon. Drop me an email or pm with your schedule.

Myfirstebenz the bumpers im making are not from or for a w124 but im making my own and i hope they will look good. Both my bumpers are urethane and will not break just bend and with a little heat will come back to shape. Carbon fiber??? i was going to do it but now im just going to make small parts because i don't want it too look tooo rice rocket like.

Oh and where can i find another badge like the one i have? The ones on ebay are different.

finding the badge is going to be tough...

I would love to find an original old school plain AMG badge which has no ///

It seems like they are impossible to find...

I may have to locate a picture of one and have a shop make one up for me...

if you look at the manual picure that abraham posted, you will see int he upper right corner the Original AMG logo. thats the bade I would like to find, but they pretty much do not exist anymore as far as I can tell...

Also if you look at your hammer wheels you will see the original AMG logo with the /// on it.

I would love to find that one, though I could always use a newer AMG logo and just not use the ///, but the original one was a bit larger in size.

LOL Abraham. Thats ok. it is like that but without the line on it.. i have seen it before, but not for a long time...

I ordered a black ///AMG one off ebay that is the newer style, and I probably wont use the /// part if I put it on.

notice that AMG logo on that page. it is NOT the same one you are using. the one you are using is from a c43. and it is to be affixed the the right of the trunk. IF YOU USE THE CORRECT badge which is next to impossible to find it is affixed via holes to the left side of the boot.

this is the only existance of such a badge that i know of. notice it is molded into the wing.

Did you notice where the AMG said to install the badge so either your wrong or AMG got their side wrong? I got this badge wth my ducktail and mine is not a fiberglass replica. I do know the one your talking about and can get one with the one AMG molded in it but the guy wants too much money and it's for a CE anyways so it dosen't fit mine.

It's just odd for amg to send me a manual where to install the badge and find out it's supposed to be on the right side.

Yeah I thought I read of it being molded in the ducktail. And that car is a 6.0?

I don't have the old AMG ducktail! If you order a new one for about $800 from the dealer it will not come with the AMG logo molded in it. Zorro AMG should know more about this since his dosen't have the logo molded on there either.

Older AMg cars all had the AMG on the left, and the engine displacement ont he right. Brabus still follows this with their badging too.

Only when the C36 came out, was the badging switched to the right, because mb wanted to keep the model designation on the left, so instead of the C36 being

///AMG 3.6
As it would have been,
it is

C36 ///AMG
Find any older AMG car pre 1994, and it will almost always have the AMG or ///AMG on the left.

I may put my black AMG badge on the left instead of on the right.

Finally i thought i was the only one!!! All newer AMG had the badge on the right and our cars are not new so why try to be like the them. I knew it had to be on the left because of the manual but i wanted to be sure. I think people will notice that i don't have a new benz since it's an 86 300e.
