Whats going on here?

Yup. New paint. Car got broken into and vandalized last week....
Can't wait to get her back.
Painting everything but the bumpers and the roof.

My bumpers still look the part, and thats what matters most to me. plus all the hard work to make them fit right was already done last time...
I'm just glad that the car is going to come out better than before.
As far as what happened. They smashed my rear quarter window, and made off with about $10,000 in software, and keyed my car all over. I would have rather they took my stereo to be honest, but they were probably in and out within 30 seconds. And yes the alarm did go off, but nobody pays attention to alarms anymore anyway. They are simply a deterrent, they wont stop everybody, only those that don't want to bother with one.
The good news is that I can replace the software and the paint is being done by one of the best bodyshops in los angeles. the bad news... I have to pay to replace the software lost out of my pocket (Windows server 2003 enterprise edition, sql server, and exchange server to name a few, which were all legit copies. The downloaded software I had I could care less about. its the real software that cost in the thousands to get that really gets to me. Luckily I have a copy of windows advanced server 2003 with 25 licenses that I got from a microsoft tech session I attended. The other bad news, I have to pay the deductable on my insurance, but getting a very expensive paint job for The cost of the deductible is worth it.
In anycase, I will have some extra additions when all is said and done. and then cosmetically on the outside the car is done. The inside still needs some work, and mechanically nothing else will change. I am so very close to completing all my planned mods on the car, then I can work on saving up for a new project...

Don't worry about the software that is a minor concern of mine, just annoying really.
