What happened to that car?
That is not a Special Edition and there is something very weird about that crease on the dash and the area around the passenger air bag. What happened to that car?

looks to me like the airbag was replaced. notice the bottom is black and does not match the lower dash.
My thinking... the car was broken into and the theives stole the airbag, put a crowbar in there and easy to crease the dash that way.
The reason I think that. I have a friend with an e420 that happened to him. they broke in to his car and did the same thing, and his dash looked the same afterwards, and was replaced.

This car has all of the options that were available in that year. htd seats, traction control, etc
anyhow 15k is way toooo much. you can get a 500e or at the least a 420e. why go with a 3 liter?

The 320 is a wonderful motor. It isn’t always all about displacement. I know the V8 motors are a bit faster on the highway, but the straight-six is still very nice. It sounds magnificent if you let it go full speed through the gears. You can certainly double any legal speed limit. I mean really, how much faster do you guys have to go?

Even if it was legit, I wouldn't buy a car off of Ebay from someone who doesn't post engine pics. He's probably hiding crumple damage or evidence of his lack of maintainance. Anyone can bring their car to get detailed but properly done maintainance takes time. And 15K!!! WTF is he thinking? My aunt bought a clear titled 97' E430 for 7K. Sure it may have needed some cosmetic work but compared to this guy's car, what he's doing is a freakin' crime!

Car is a junk. How can you say Flawless and was in a front end collision. What dumbass! Plus there should be a vin tag on the trunk lid, which I didn't notice in the pictures. 17k miles and such a junk, what a shame. My 1990 with 300k miles is more "flawless" than that car. $15,000 dollars <-- what a moron.

Let's consider this for a minute. How about we assume everything about the car is on the up and up. Sure, we as Mercedes owners are more knowledgeable about these vehicles and maybe it's not worth the $14,500.00 but at, let's say, $10-12K I would have a hard time saying no if I was looking for a car. Looking strictly at the value, it's head and shoulders above any new North American or Japanese car at the same price. My first Mercedes was a 1988 300E that a customer/friend of mine basically gave to me. It was immaculate inside and out because that's the type of guy he is. He loved the car but was finally talked into buying a new Benz. The only thing "wrong" with the car was that it had extremely high mileage. But I drove it and came to love Mercedes and if it hadn't been for a rad hose blowing on the highway leaving me with no coolant and 6 sets of fried piston rings, I'd still be driving that 300E. That car had 873,000 kms. on the original motor when it expired. Just try getting that kind of value from say a Toyota or Chevy for $14K. Better buys can surely be had but like I said, if everything is true about this E320, you could do worse.
