Are you running a dual battery setup? if so, which isolator are you using?

I have been contemplating running dual batteries on myc ar but I am just unsure about which isolator to use. there are tons of universal ones, but I have seen some that are recommended for use with bosch alternators.

Looks like it is going to come out nice.

Are you doing any kind of custom sub enclosure or just a basic box? Ar eyou making the box yourself or having it made? is it going ot be custom glassed?

The door panels look like they are coming out nice.

Update:

I just picked up an Alpine 10" SBS-D102V Dual Subwoofer With Vented Box.

http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...odel=SBS-D102V

FEATURES
• 1800 W Peak
• 600 W RMS
• All MDF Construction
• High Output Slot Vented Design
• Dual Temrinal Cup
• Woofer Grills Included

Anyways - Is this a good system? I got a really good deal on it for $200 when MSRP is $430.

Also - Will I have any problems powering all of this with the battery and alternater?

well when i first got the subs i had the bandpass box, but i switched it out to an enclosed one. to me it seems as if it does hit harder with an enclosed box but i think it all depends on whether your subs are built for the free air or not.

other than that, nothing has changed, still have the kenwood headunit with the ipod aux and have gotten too lazy to change all the front and rear speakers cuz it still sounds decent.

as for my suspension...hahaha well i need some extra money first because its kind of a lot of money and im not sure if i want to invest in that just yet....

yes dual battery, I have a marine isolator, but I do not remember the brand, and at the moment it is mounted in a fashion where I am unable to find out,

I have built many boxes, I do have a straight forward 2.0 cube ported box tuned box for a SoundSplinter RL-p 12D2, but it would be more attractive if there was a custom fiberglass box, even if it was just a glass face, I dont have the experience with glass that I wish I did, the issue I worry about with doing an attached in glass box is that if I blow a tire I am unable to get to my spare, unless I do an expensive motorized panel and go small sealed, and I need to run a larger ported box to keep a level output with the strength of my mids and highs

the pods are very nice, but I have so much tuning to do, and with the size of the mid-bass' I have to pull my seat back a tad as to not have pressure put up against the side of my seat,

with that amp this set up has the potential to get awful loud, which is not what I am after, it just worked out that way.

with my setup, it can get super loud but sounds clean at any volume...

But I am also redoing it all, but utilizing mostly factory locations and changing what sound comes from where.. Only because I can.

I am not going to do any custom glassing or any of that, just some good old fashiond wood work on the rear deck for the 6.5" subs to reside.

I'd like to know what model isolator you have if you come across it by chance... I am planning on a dual battery setup, but I am planning on going with those special half size batteries that still have the same power and capacity.

Once the Becker started flaking out I changed to an Alpine (their next to top of the line) that has AM FM CD XM iPod which covers everything I could need. I use the stock speakers that came in the Sportline which had subwoofers stock in the front doors and the sound is more than fine.

And by the way Smokie, even though it is camy, I can see your phone.

Also danger, old guy warning regarding big stereo: I just got my hearing checked (part of my 50th birthday hazing) and it is down about 25% due mainly to...you guessed it, loud music. Fourth row at the Stones concert, etc had its payback so just pay attention to the bass. Really. REALLY.

Hey Guys,

I got rid of my 1200W amp and got this since I got a really good deal on it.

MTX THUNDER TA7402 600 WATT RMS 2 CH 7402 A/B AMPLIFIER

http://cgi.ebay.com/MTX-THUNDER-TA74...QQcmdZViewItem

is this a good amp anyone?

Anyways - Finally got my Alpine sub's today. Here's what they look like and a preview shot of what they will look like once in my car. Everything will be installed by the end of this week.

Too pricey but it'll work. Whats the power ratings of the subs, and are they DVC? Did you look into a class d mono amp?

I got a really good deal on the MTX Amp. Like ... An unbelieveable deal that would make one think - "how the hell did he get it for so cheap?!?" kind.

I've looked into mono amp's and etc but this is such a good deal that I couldn't pass it up. If anything, I'll switch over to something else in the future. I was planning to go with an Infinity Reference 1200W amp but changed my mind.

The subs are capable of 600W RMS and 1800W Peak and yes it's Dual Voice Coil.

I'm shooting for everything to be installed by the end of this weekend. Stay tuned.
