Yep, the 1992 module is nice if you can find one at a decent price. They're hard to locate under about $300. I had a couple that I sold for about $300 but I haven't seen any available in a while near that price. If you want one bad enough there are some for $500+ but like you, I wouldn't pay that much!!

Gary, how come you dont mention you own a 500e in the C5t registry? Do you really not care much for it?

EDIT: Nice car

No, I didn't own the car then. I think I posted information on that site back in early 2000, when I got the C5. I purchased the 500E in March of 2005.

hate to beat a dead horse but the only way to spice up a m104 or 103 is to put a new e420 or e500 motor in it. nothing you do short of turbo charging or super charging it will get you squat in rear wheel hp and torque. most numbers posted are gains at the fly wheel. a 3-10hp gain is pretty immeasurable when you consider how old your engine is and the fact that a 124 is a HEAVY car. do a dyno test on your car and see what your rear wheel hp and torque is b4 you throw away 360 bux.

the e500 and e420 are peppy cars. the e500 with nos as some members have could pretty much take out most modern HP cars in a straight line. as i recall porsche designed the e500 suspension and did a wonderful job.

mr cop hater looks like another troll that got banned last month based on his low post count, his super negative attictude and the fact that his profile doesnt include where he lives and what he drives.

500E Signal Rot
Actually, Porsche was contracted to do body/frame modifications. The design of the 500E was done by MB. The driveline/suspension is all OE SL500 components. There are many new parts which are unique to the 500e, none of which were designed by Porsche.

I have the Race Tech AP-22 and I love it. I think it's way ahead of the G-Tech products:

http://www.race-technology.com/Site1...ce_Meters.html

You can select any two speeds to measure between, and it automatically levels itself out - no need to get it exactly level or perpendicular. It's also fully adjustable for suspension squat, etc but you really need to get to a dragstrip to fully calibrate it. After I did that, it was consistently accurate within 1%. Some sample data is in the "0-100" and "dragstrip" text files at this link... note it shows the times for each interval, plus G-forces at that speed, distance, etc etc...

anyone heard of this?
does it work?
The chips might give some gains @ WOT when the 02 sensor is taken out of the fueling map in the ECM tables, but with the 02 sensor "in the loop" it just returns the engine back to Lambda at normal throttle positions.

Forced induction or a wet nitrous system is the answer for real power gains.

I've had the PAD chip and currently run the RENNtech offering. The RT idles smoother, but both gave minimal gains. I'd estimate 5hp, if that. Not enough to make an appreciable difference.

Another owner dyno'ed the RENNtech back-to-back with the stock chip (in combination with an Eisenmann exhaust) and did show consistent midrange gains (below 4000 rpm) but the curves evened out at the top end.

Rob, I think most of us would like to see a real-world dyno graph of an M119 (or M104), before and after. And not the usually VERY optimistic graphs from the manufacturer, which often appear to be the same line re-drawn "x" HP above the stock curve...

I have a 4 wheel dyno here. If someone local wants to install, I would be happy to split the dyno time with them to see the results.

We are located in Chandler Arizona.
