Thirst for Oil, what's normal consumption?
I changed the valve seat seals on one of my previous 300Es to remedy this because it had over 250k miles. My current 300E has a rebuilt engine with ~50k and my wifes car has 115k.
I have had it in my 300CE for the last two oil changes and it works. I was using about a quart every 3 tank full's. Over last weekend, I made a run from my home in Florida to my home in N. Carolina and back. During the 1584 miles, I added not one drop of oil and ran at speeds between 80 - 90+. During my return trip of 732 miles, I averaged 66.54 mph, so I was running along at a good clip. The current oil now has 4M miles on it and the car has 113K. My "weepy" oil area's also went away.
So, for the cost of entry (about $6 or $7 bucks) you can't go wrong.. It takes the product about 500 miles to work it's magic. I started using this about 15 years ago and have always found it to perform as stated.
Good Luck,
Jayare
