Can I get My Stock Alarm to Work?

Can I get My Stock Alarm to Work?
I get nothing from my stock alarm. Is there a fuse somewhere I am missing? A disconnect?

I just set mine off inadvertantly today. Didn't even know I had one! I popped the hood to show a coworker the engine. But I locked the door back before I opened the hood all the way. When I lifted the hood, the alarm went off. Had to unlock the doors again to shut it off.

I checked the fuses in the box (where all the fuses are located) - everything seems fine. Is there another fuse box I am missing?
Maybe the prior owner disconnected it somewhere.

Under the passenger carpet behind a plastic floorboard panel is where the alarm brain is located. when these fail, theya re usually disconnected and left in there.
You can try reconnecting it if it is disconnected.
The easiest way to test it, is to get in the car, roll down a window, and lock a door with the key, then open the door from the inside. if it goes off, a horn will sound and the lights will flash.

I went under the carpet and found one box that said BeckerAudio on it. It had two plugs, a big one and a small one. They were both unplugged and the small one was taken apart (no top to hold the wires in). I tried to put the wires back in the small plug the way they looked like they fit. While I was doing this, two of them touched and the horn sounded.
I plugged them back in and the box started making a tick/tock sound - like the lights should be flashing - nothing. Test did not owrk. I unplugged them again.
Is the Becker unit the alarm brain or just the security for the stock radio?
I do not know how to figure out if I wired the small plug back right? Any diagrams anywhere?
This is a 1992 400E.
