Exclamation car wont start and fuel door stuck!

ok guys, today my car wont start and my fuel door will not open. i was thinking maybe i was outta gas after attempts to jump it did not work. so i go to open the tank and it will not open. i tried locking and unlocking the doors and that didnt help. by the way, if im outta gas that means that i only get 175 miles per tank....ouch. anyway guys, i need help asap. anything would be helpful. thanks again

nevermind guys, after many tries i finally got the car to start. after that i found the release for the gas door in the trunk. i think i might know what was draining my battery tho...looks like my amp and equalizer are lit up even when the car is not on. im not sure if this is just some leds or the amps are running

i changed my mind again, the car wont start. i can jump the car with a jumpstarter if im lucky. it worked twice for me. a dodge durango wont jump it but a mitsubishi diamante will. also, i tried charging the battery for a day. the car started after that but died after i left the car for a few hours.

i gues that must be it. its hard to believe tho, the batery is an interstate and its fairly new too. i was thinking maybe it was the amp and the equalizer that were killing the battery, as they lights on them are on when the car is off but it might just be leds on them that are on. im not sure.

wouldn't hurt to go get it tested at pep boys or something, that is, take the battery out and get a ride to the store...

hmm, if it is your alternator, the regulator brushes are bad, they should be checked every 75k miles or so.

if you said your amp and eq is lit up, its probably still on even when the car isn't. dunno if it should be draining that much battery though. you got this car from someone else right? go ask him if hes had any problems with the battery and see if he can help you out. btw, change your sig!!

you guys ever done somethign so stupid you can even believe that you were stupid enough to do it? yea well, i did one of those things. turns out the equalizer in my glove box that powers all my amps, speakers, and subs had a short in it that gave it power constantly, even when the car was off. this is why my battery wouldnt hold a charge, it kept being depleted. and remember when i said that my sub didnt seem so loud for its size and wattage? yea, turns out the lights on my eq that i thought were for decoration are actually gain knobs . i figured all this out today, in the rain, at a mechanic, while i was sitting there for an hour and half while he tried to give my battery enoguh of a charge to bring me home. not a good day for me. well, atleast now i know the power of deductive reasoning. why is my amp lit up, why do my speakers pop if i pull out the fuse, why is there power when the key is out......etc. it can really make you feel stupid
