Thanks for the compliments on the wheels and brakes! But just to let you know these pics don't do justice! If you've seen them in person you'll be like WTF?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? This is like on of those things that you really gotta see in person to appreciate!

Yeah the Bose setup in my CLK was garbage. Ok at moderate volumes, but totally lost composure when you cranked it.
Silver car on alloys is perfect. Are you tired of black? Silver's much easier to maintain, but nothing looks nicer than a clean, freshly waxed black car.
It looks like I'll be putting 18" Brabus Mono VI one-piece as soon as this week. AMGs look good, but they're way too common for my taste.

When waxed and all the swirls are out, the black looks drop dead gorgeouse and mean. But the silver is more mellow and calm, and right now, I think I need to calm down on my driving road rage. hehe
Still wanna race? lol

Your car is so nice, it has me day dreaming of an earlier era. Back when I owned a '92 BMW 535i (still my favorite BMW) and was wishing I could afford an M5. The 500E/E500 was way out of reach as it was $80K new back then. Ahh the good old days...
My choice would be a set of classic Brabus or AMG monoblocks, as I feel it goes with the classic lines of your E500. Of the above, I like the Carlssons, but your car looks awesome with just about all of them. Enjoy.

Actually, Porsche was more involved in the devlopment process than just assembly. The parts were all Mercedes, yes, but Porsche peformed much of the engineering and chassis tuning.
The designation changed in 1994. '94 models were badged E500. This is true for all models that year as well (E320, E420, SL500, etc.).
I paid just shy of $40k with 56k miles and Starmark warranty. Worth every penny, IMHO. I highly urge you to add one to your stable if the opportunity presents itself. You won't regret it.
BTW, very nice collection of cars you have there. Excellent taste.

I have a decent collection, but nothing in the bank. LOL.

Great car, perfectly kept.
What you might need to complete the looks, are the new bulbs for the front turn signals. From OSRAM they are available in translucent (the bulb glass is covered with some agent which appears blueish, like photo lenses), but when on, they are of orange colour. So they dont shine through the glass in orange, if off. The same might go for the rear turn signals. But sometimes there is a orange cap inside the tail lights.

Well, I've decided to put off wheels for the moment. But my car is at a different establishment right now for some other enhancements...

Fantastic car - in fantastic condition.
In England we have nothing bigger than the E320 (I understand on V8's there's no room for the RHD steering column), so I've never seen an E400 or E500 in the metal.
Those wheel arches look awesome - are they standard on the E500?
I'm going to have to emigrate now!
