Hey guys, need help. Car died tonight after leaving a stop sign & will not start up, turns over but will not start. Had to go to work tonight and have not had time to diagnose. I did pull the gas cap off before I got it towed and gas shut out of it all over me, approx. 1/2 gallon. Any ideas, could it be a fuel pump?

When that happened to me my mechanic told me that my fuel pump relay shorted and burned out my fuel pump, so I had to get them both replaced, he's a pretty good mechanic, he told me no need to replace the other fuel pump. In my case it was the primary fuel pump.
Thanks, did not know there were two pumps. Is the relay in the fuse block area?

If the fuel pump is OK it will buzz for about 3-4 seconds after you turn the ignition on, providing that the car sat for a while and the fuel line pressure is lower than it is neccesary for the start. Again, after the ignition is turned on, the fuel pump, which is located under the rear right floorboard, will buzz.
If the pump is OK, it also could be the OVP relay.

Thanks, I will check that when I get off from work or this weekend, depends how busy I am tonight.

Yes, but do that individually to each pump as I still heard one of the pump and went on to the next thing like a fool. Th e fuel pump relay is behind the battery, and the OVP if needed is in that area too.
I have the same problem. MY car sometimes dont want to start but does turn over. Turned out to the be fuel pump relay. at the dealership they want $209 for it =\
