I'm thinking about getting this Remus Muffler.
Do you or anyone you know have this exhaust on a 3.0L w124?
I was wondering if it is a good exhaust?
The reasons I liked it are...
It's Less than $500 ($480)
Supposedly a 15% HP Boost (30+HP)
Good Sound
and most important
I do not have to cut or weld anything! Hurray!!
I can't wait to hear what you think about it... especially if it's crap, please let me know!!! THANX!

I have one, love the sound. no droning at highway speeds, sounds good under WOT. And well worth it.
HP gains from just a muffler are bs. now if you went with a full cat back system maybe you would get a minor gain but not anywhere near 30 hp.
Mine I got for $100.00![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Couldn;t be happier with it. great look, and the sound is not obtrusive at all. very nice sounding, the way our cars should sound. Doesn;t sound or look like a fart can, and definately great quality.

I have that EXACT exhaust... it kicks ***, that being an understatement. But like previously said.. there is no way I gained 30hp, even though it is a cat-back. I would say I maybe gained 10, that even being a generous number. But seriously, this exhaust is the best for looks and sound you are going to find.. it is totally worth it! Order from www.autoaccessorystore.com thats where i got mine, best prices.
Oh and FYI, you do need to weld it in, because the hooks it hangs from need to be welded to the underbody.

Im over the horsepower gain, or the lack of, but if it sounds good and doesn't make make car fart and sound like it's having the ****s.. even better!!
I heard it online on a 3.0L I6 Bimmer and it sounded great! the real Euro sound i want!!

I got mine off a friend who had a line on it through his vw forum.
It was not originally for a benz, it had to be modded to fit hanger wise and inlet pipe wise, but my muffler guy who deals with remus said essentially that the one I got and the benz one were the same internally and externally, just different mounts and the inlet pipe was bent differently for the other car.
So I lucked out on mine.,

Anyone know which one of these would fit a 95 E320. Not quite sure which one would work.
It's for the Twin Angled Remus Verion Exhaust

If you are just looking to achieve a quality sound with a nice euro look, then a magnaflow exhaust and the right tip can do the job. But if you wish to be hard core euro about it, then you can pick up a Remus and pay the extra 200 bucks for the same thing. I like Remus but i don't like the price, I also have to admit it does stick out a bit.

i've heard only good things about both remus and romulus...
one question though. i love (LLLLOVE) the 'hiss' these cars make when idling, does the exhaust take that away??

the hiss you hear are the fuel pumps actually.
That twin pipe remus wont fit your TE the spare tire well is in the way.
the twin angled will work.
By the way, you don;t need the mb specific remus you can get a universal.

wow really Alon? Thats funny my spare tires rests in the side of my trunk, where the jack and tools are, not underneath as there is no spare tire well.

He meant the bin that your spare tire is in dips low into the rear of the body floor, he didn't mean that the tire sits underneath the chassis. If you look underneath the bin takes up much of the space underneath the rear area. So if you were to use a dual exhaust like the one pictured above, there would be no room to keep it tucked away. You could technically still use a dual exhaust set up but you'd utilize more piping rather than a large canister like the one above.
