My dad has had Bucky for the past several months, and brought it back for Homecoming. Tons of work/fixes have been done, including a new windscreen! All the dents were removed, and my roof spoiler was re-mounted as ice had begun to pry it up.
My dad also had the windows fixed, and got all new mounts for my air intake assembly. Apparently, before it wasn't stable and as such, was a source of a huge vacuum leak. The car seems to be a bit happier in this state.
This is how things look. The girlfriend took Bucky for two laps on Watkins Glen this past weekend. She loved it and did quite well for her first time on a track.

I think I figured out some of my prolific/chronic oil leak problems, finally!
7/10 of the bolts that hold the head down are completely stripped. Like, you can pull them right out by hand.
Yeah, I think that could do it.
Some shop really messed me up...

Back many years later... Have Bucky again after it sat at my parent's for about 6 years or so.
My dad sent it up to me just before he died, and it is sitting outside in need of massive repairs and cleanups. I crashed the right side up, it has tons of clearcoat peeling, some rust, the roof spoiler peeled up, it doesn't run at the moment, and the interior wood has all but completely delaminated.
What should I do? How do I honor my dad and the car we raced together, worked on together, and loved together? I had wanted my son to race in it with me and my dad, but that dream is gone now.
I do not have much money at all, so I'm struggling. Would it be wrong to just rattlecan or Maako it to get it "clean enough"? Should I strip all the body paint and colorized bedliner it to keep it from rusting here in the North? I can not pursue making it showroom-condition like I had wanted to years ago
