No, I do like them just fine. However, I have to remove each wheel to install the new caps and I've been swamped with thesis stuff and life lately. Plus, I don't have a proper jack here nor jack stands so getting the car up to change the wheels is an obnoxious process.

Autocross tomorrow morning, for the first time in years. I've not done a meet since I had only the front swaybar in, back about 2 summers ago.

Engine is still shot, car still pulls 16s 0-60 runs, but I'll manage. I think.

I'm excited to see what I can pull with my front/rear sways, lowering, H&R Sport + Koni Yellow (4/5 stiffness), slotted/cross-drilled rotors, and grippy pads.

Here is one of my final "for the lulz" mods. Its called EZ-lip. It is a foam rubber lip with 3M body tape. 35$ shipped, goes on fast/easy, and IMO looks pretty great considering.

I could have done a better job on the install, but it literally took me about 2 minutes to do so I get what I put into it I suppose. I'm too impatient

Tell me about it man! I need to get this car in actually good shape before I lose interest. I don't think it'll happen, I've put too much into it already, but it may happen haha.

The meet went great! The suspension mods were.... amazing, absolutely amazing. Turns out my summer wheel set is actually a set of bald M+S tires soo... grip wasn't fantastic. That being said, I still pulled some okay laps. Adjusted, I was second from last in the Novice class haha. In terms of raw times, I know I beat a C5 corvette and the Skyline GTR a few times. They're apparently very... slow about posting results, so who knows when I'll have them and be able to post videos.

If I can ever fix the SLOW and find some grippy tires, I might actually be a contender haha.

Here is a quick/dirty cut of my 7/7 run. Not sure what the time was, they've still not posted them. Proper ones will be up once I get my times.

Repair Attempt:
Swapped my 008-545-73-32 ECM/ECU for a 011-545-43-32[00] ECM/ECU.

Experienced exactly 0 difference in the car. Guess the ECM/ECU isn't at fault here for my car performance issues.

You could pick up an e420 motor for a song if you were so inclined, and respond quickly. LMK

Haha, oh Rich, I don't think I can afford the labor and parts to convert the coupe into a V8. I'd love to though.

Maybe I'll take you up on some other parts

What did those poor little traffic cones ever do to you ??
It was vehicular homicide that's what it was !

You need a transplant like SMAutoworks - M119 4.2l V8.

Haha, nothing, I was pretty good that day on not murdering cones. I did take out a few, but those runs were forfeit anyway :P

Tempting, but that is a large/heavy engine to stuff up front. I'd rather keep the weight balance a bit more neutral.

I am still thinking about your cars performance problem, and i wam wondering if anyone ever messed with your intake cam and exhaust cam setup? This would occurs in a lack of power if not set properly

It is possible, but I honestly have no idea. Is there an easy way to test this?

went to the track and you didnt get a video of ur 0-60 ( or acceleration ) time?

I would like a more expert opinion about cams setup on M104 and how it affects performance, might be the clue to your problems.

Sorry dude, I forgot. I was alone in my car so no way to safely drive and record at the same time. My camera mount can't stick to the headliner :P

I'll try and get a good video of it soon.

Here is the final in my series of lulzmods (TM).

They are Lift stickers for the frame jack-point covers. Fortunately, they also correspond to where the frame jack pads (the rubber ones) are under the frame rails. So, either way, its a win as it points out where to lift the car from.

I've had shops be confused about how to lift my car up

Chlippo, here is a video containing 0-60 run, general driving, and a 0-40 run from a stop with a corner (car sort of stalls).

So, I've swapped my MAS unit, my ECM, and I'm looking to swap my EZL next (if someone can tell me how to diagnose proper function, and where to find one).

My car now has the latest:
MAS: 008-545-85-32
ECM: 011-545-43-32[00]

My car has an ancient EZL:
010-545-95-32[09]

The latest EZL for my car is:
016-545-04-32

Should it be obvious when the cams advance? I hear no difference in engine tone, noise, etc when I floor it.

I don't think my cams are even advancing at all! I replaced the cam solenoid about 3 years ago, so I doubt its gone bad again.

I honestly really think my car is on full manual control, no electronic ignition control.

Edit:
When you pull the vacuum line out of the EZL with the car running, should you note a change in idle sound or anything else like that?

Uploaded the videos of the SCCA meet from a few weeks back. Enjoy!
The suspension mods were so so worth it. Now if only it had a functional engine and actual tires, not bald M+S tires...

Would he be able to check the cams too?
Just be sure he really knows what he is doing if he does, we dont want to eliminate the cams before knowing 100% its not their fault

Check this link, might help you eliminate/check the cams
