I'm thinking subz and I want opinions!
I actually had a pair of older 12" Fosgates, with same amp power, that bumped even a little too hard. I mostly listen to rock(anything before '96, if newer, it's not rock, it's crap), yet I like some hip hop(Mobb Deep, Kool Keith, Bone Thugs, Crucial Conflict, etc.). [And, please, don't give me that crap that says you need to be all about rap or hip hop to have subz, it's bull sh*t!
]
My current door speakers are alpine, and what I love about them is they put out the highest, loudest, and cleanest trebble, but any bass kills them. Yet, when they work together with subs, you can still hear them loudly and incredibly clearly, no matter how loud I had my old subz turned up!! To to refresh my orignal question, what do you think of these? My current price limit is $500.
This whole package is priced @ $479.99 subs/amp/q-logic box

sometimes it takes more than an hour to get a reply
be patient
i really like the look of the punch subs. they look really classy.
the amp, looks kind of old. it looks like it was made in the 90's
if you can, custom mold one to fit in your trunk.
it'll look a lot cleaner.
Rockford Fosgate makes good stuff.
i just bought an amp hookup kit yesterday for $100, great quality.

Cool. Putting a custom mold seems the best way to go, but how much does something like that cost?

Yes, there are some of us who know about car audio. If you need some help im in long beach and i can help you out with whatever you need. Don't worry im not charging. For $500 i'm pretty sure you can get a system louder than 100watts rms.
Look at ebay for a good deal!..

Maybe at the next meet you will get a chance to hear it if i can get my car done in time and the door speaker switched out also, cause i recently blew the original ones. doh
Thanx for the sub references, I will check those out immediatly! Now when it comes to sub size, either 10" or 12". I had 12's before and I was happy with them, but I heard that when it comes to lesser expensive subs, 10" can be more reponsive w/ cleaner bass. is that true?
What I'm looking for is something in the price range between Pyles of Sh*t and some gnar gnar JL's. I'm stoked to get your opinion because, you seem to know exactly what your talking about!
FAT CUSTOM SETUP YOU GOTZ!
You will get alot of resistance from MBworld members when you talk about PIMPING you benz. Living in So Cal kinda makes you want to Pimp your car out anyways but i think is mainly for the ladies. I don't know how old you are but i would pimp out that benz if i was you. Maybe not TIS rims but lower it, some nice silver rims with a chrome lip, custom sound system, and some tv's while your at it.

F*ck everbody else! I'm pimpin my Benzo Inuendo!! You don't like it? Too bad... You got your own Benz to worry about!
But, you guys don't have to worry... It's not like I'm taking my car to Pimp My Ride so they can turn into some stupid popcorn machine or put tv's underneath the car for no apparent reason. She will be clean and classy, with a touch of pimp juice. It's what we in Cali call Baller!
(Actually, Baller is a '06 S-Class onj 22's, but you get my point)
BTW im 21
The shop that told you to cut a hole in your dash was on the right track if you want good clean bass, but if you want loud bass, proceed with your setup. It's all about what you want. What I wanted was clean, high-quality bass. So I went with an infinite baffle setup with a single 10" mounted directly to the rear deck under the first aid kit. It will only be 200 watts RMS. The installation has been a huge pain in the ****. But it should sound good (still not done yet!).
But if you don't care about sound quality as much as you care about "boom", don't waste your time, money, and pristine dash by cutting a huge hole like I did! ha ha
In terms of those components you are looking at, for your goals, I don't think 200 watts RMS will be enough. Your trunk is VERY well sealed off from the cabin, so I just don't see how you'll get much bass in the car. I would recommend at least 500watts RMS, although that might put you out of your price range...

I like the subs you showed me alot so far! My question for you is, on the Infinity Basslink T, it says, "1 10" sub and 2 Radiators," when it comes to car audio, what are radiators?
