Speedometer Picz... American Autobahn!
theres a lot of what ifs when your doing 120mph +.
And everyone else, I say this out of love for my fellow w124 owners...
Owning a great car that can handle high speeds doesn't make you a great driver that can handle high speeds.
Driving at high speeds around other cars just makes you look like a classless putz (think of the 17-year-old with his beater civic zig-zagging through traffic). I like a little high speed action myself at times, but moderation is key. Save it for the desert/country/some other unpopulated place, and get some driving lessons.
If you're important, people will wait.
I hate to be the debby downer but safety first!! There is no excuse in the world for risking your life. Saying that, having the proper equipment while doing this is ok to go at these speeds.
1. don't go above 100+mph if
a) haven't checked your tires or tire pressure
b) have a stock suspension and haven't checked it for proper torque specs
c) Don't Have some kind of safety harness like a 5 point seat belt
d) If you go alittle faster i would wear a helmet
e) Don't have someone following you in another car with a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit. You don't want to get into an accident and not have anyone to help you.
There are more things to consider but these are some basics incase you lose control and flip over. I've done 130+mph in my mustang but it took me 2-3 hours going over the car so i would know im safe. There are alot of open roads out there and putting the public in danger for your selfish reasons is just stupid.
