Calling Chrisdpham!
It's open to all MB models & years. Hoping to get a more old-school flavor this time around though. The new AMG models are cool, but now they seem to be a dime-a-dozen. Rather see some C43s, C36s, W210 E55s than all the new rocket ships.
Anyway, as always the W124s are crowd pleasers, and in the past have always shown up in full force, so I just would like for another strong showing.
Especially, since this Meet will be centrally located for LA, OC, and SD people.
Still waiting on confirmation on the date from the Los Alamitos Base Commander. Hopefully by tomorrow....
Do you still have your LEGO models of the diesel ??? I love those models !
talk to you soon, and hope to see you there !

Yes I still have those Legos, I'll definitely bring them. They're just in a box waiting to be rebuilt. I made a W123 300D as a keeper, and a W124 300TE also in Lego. I hope you'll like it more in person!
The W123 sports rare 15" Bundts now, Euro lights and a few tidbits. Still have it of course, that's my keeper. I know this forum isn't much for W123's so I didn't bother, but since you asked, have a look!

Funny thing, is I never see you around Anaheim...ever!
Now I don't know which one to bring, the 300TE or the 300D!
Might have to commission you to build a couple for me !

I wish it's that easy to have a friend bring the other car. Kinda wished the 300D also fit in the cargo space of the wagon
I've modified this one since I took this pic...

The W123 estate was much easier to do...

I never see you around Anaheim either - Then again I should start looking out for a W124 TE now.
I'm always working late in LA and just go straight home off the freeway on Lincoln now which is probably another reason you haven't seen me around lately. Still live off Cresent?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I rarely see your car (pictured in your sig) around here. Pretty much the same address as before. I'm actually on Lincoln but probably am a bit more west from you, I'm guessing.
Too bad we haven't crossed paths yet, but at least you don't get involved in rush hour LA traffic, I hope! LA to Anaheim, and back, sucks for a daily drive!
Love what you did with your E420! Where did you take those nice shots? I'm keeping my eyes peeled for good spots to take photographs in.
There are maybe three other W124 owners I know who are supposed to live nearby, but for some reason I never spot any of you
honk at me when you find me!

those LEGO models are awesome !!!!
oh I don't know any MB is fine with me. The 300D maybe painted in the original car color would be awesome I think.
I hope you can bring both cars. All the info on the meet is now on this thread:

Hope to see you on the 15th, along with ChrisDPham and his merry band of W124 owners !!!

I'll bug my friends to come along as well, but they'll bring their cars. If it's going to be full of W124's then I might bring the 300TE ...

Did I read it right - this is going to be your last meet? I also see Doug's green C230 coupe - is he also joining?

Would love to see the 300TE... bring it. And you can sign up your friends as well. Just use a screen-name from any forum, and of course, their MB model & year & chassis.
This will be my last meet for a while, as I'm moving to Germany for a 4 year job. Hopefully, I will be able to travel back to California regularly, and I will try to schedule those trips at the same time as a Mercedes-Benz meet

Doug unfortunately sold his citron green Coupe. That picture was from the MB meet we had down in Encinitas.
Well, hope all the W124 folks start signing up soon.
Talk to you soon,
Carlos

I'll try to get as many W124 owners I know to come out but a lot of them are flakey, boring or could careless to be honest. lol I'll come out for sure though and I'll have a new set of wheels.

Let me know if you need any help with anything as always.
just trying to get more shops to donate items for the raffle.
Do you still have contacts at TWS or HoI ?
is the OneTwoFour forum back up yet ?
I was going to post the meet details there, but it was down.
I'll sign you up on the list. https://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=264561
see ya soon !
Carlos
I deal with HMS now.

From what I last know - OneTwoFour has been down for quite some time now - I guess it was just a phase from when the forums in the past was really strong and when there were members who were actually down for a meet and actually loved their cars.

Thanks for signing me up!

BRING THE DOG!!! lol
NOTHING is greener than reusing an older car!
Having them build a new car for you every 4 years like most drivers, and trading in hybrids which are not standardized yet, etc. really is not very green.
Running a 20 year old car is far more green than having them make a new volt for you.

CHRIS, ANYCHANCE YOU HAVE A SPARE OF THESE LAYING ANYWHERE? I needs a backup plan in case Murphy's law comes calling.
