Calling Chrisdpham!

My w108 is my favorite car ever. It has now taken a step down as my daily driver, and the paint is now starting to fade, so time to restore it again, this time bolt by bolt, gotta buy a house and finish school first.
I have some more photos somewhere else, can't say for certain, but some nice shots in the mtns around here.
I restored this car when I was 15, then drove it through HS and college. After a few years the autobox got old, so I found a w108 250s with a 4spd manual, and I swapped all the parts over into this baby. The car is great and roomy, airy(huge sunroof), and the 6cyl with magnaflow sounds great! Dark Red(dunkelrot)(burgundy) with Black roof, and creme interior.

The suspensions need to be lubed, and the zerk fittings can plug up, and most oil change places forget to lube the chassis so they can squeek and also wear out due to this. In the front suspension, the KingPins often wear out and create slop, as do the tie rods. I rebuilt all of that so it handles great. New HD bilsteins, rebuilt brakes, Converted to 4spd manual tranny on the floor, and I also took the Rear end out of a V8 model to give me taller gears, so I gained about 20mph at hwy speeds.
I love my color as well, at night it looks almost black, then in the day it has this warm deep glow to it. The paint is starting to fade since it wasn't the most expensive paint job, only singlestage, not a base/clear.
There is Nothing like a nice 108!
Shoot, it was THE s-class, not quite a 600 pulman, but still a dandy of a car If you have the time and some money(not expensive to buy, below 10,000 is the market average for a nice one) I would buy one in a heartbeat. The 1960's Mercs and older are dripping with charm. The car never fails to get the looks, and people always come up to me at the gas pump. It was a blast to drive in H.School and college but it could use a body-off restoration again since I've had it for 10 years now and it has seen a lot of use. I'd say in the next 3 years it will be reborn once I get a shop of my own to work on it.I can't find any of my pictures here at my folks house, so they are probably at my apartment. I'll post some more pics next week asap.
but seriously, what it that?
and since there is no such thing as
on this thread: how often should one change the fuel filter? also, how many miles should a stock suspension last?

im still looking for a cheap one for my ce...maybe a salvage part

anyone ever thought of taking the 300d turbo and sticking it in the 300e? wouldnt it be easier to find a salvage and transplant it?
Let me know where it is.....

I'm the secret special guest at the January 20th MB Tri-State Meet in Irvine,
but no one is supposed to know that. It's a secret.
Are you going ?
we have a lot to catch up on...
Sean still hasn't sent me that 1/18 scale CLK-DTR that I bought off of him on eBay; you know the one that he got for FREE from EVOsport.
I'm going to hunt him down, and pull his ears. I might even punch him in the ear.
