7.5Jx16 ET 51 fits W124?

I am planning to upgrade my oem rim and tire (195/65/15). I found a set of used rims from W140 (7.5Jx16 ET51). Can it fit my W124 with 215/55/16 tires? The biggest ET I found in manual is 46. Is 51 ok?

Thank you for your valuable and quick inputs.

51 seems to be too little.. the inner side wall of your tires or your rims might rub on the shockers at the front.. don't know about the rears..

heard that the ideal offset is 35 (don't count on me for this, i'm bad at numbers)

hope this helps.

Sorry mate but that site is a load of bollocks.

EvoW124, that table is also a bit suspect. 18x10s won't fit most W124s and 35+ is a bit vague?

I'm running a 16 x 7.5 ET41, the part number is 210 401 04 02 and I believe it is from a newer E320. My car is a 93 300CE w/ Sportline. Tires are 205-55 and there is no rubbing.
