close the air recirculation switch
close the air recirculation switch, that will prevent ANY air coming into the cabin. Soon the interior will become stale and the windows will fog , drop a window down to allow outside air in.

My AC crapped out a long time ago as well. Just leave the air condition to 0 and turn off the recirculation thing like kwb said. I always drive with all 4 down and sunroof open so it doesnt bother me much

ok here is the deal there is no power going to the climate controls because its on the same fuse as the blower fan and the fan always blows the circuit so no matter what i push on the controls nothing happens but is there a way i can stop air coming in from the engine anyone know?

un-hook fan
what if you un-hook the wire that powers the fan, replace the fuse and close the recirculate switch? If the fan is blowing the fuse un-hooking it will definitely prove that to be true AND you should be able to close off the hot air coming in from the engine comparment. In theory. Or am I just crazy?

You know, replacing the fan really isn't that bad of a job. Heck your proposed solutions sound like a lot more work to me then just replacing the fan. I did mine about a month ago. Cost $165, took an hour and a half.
