Zebrano is the striped wood - think Zebra

Burlewood is Burled Oak that's the one that has a swirled appearance - sometimes it looks like it has faces in it.

But really, if it's not striped it's probably burled oak.

I think zebrano came on the 300's and buled oak (or is it maple - I'm not sure now) came on the 400's and 500's and I imagine some of the special editions, for example Brett's 300 has burlewood instead of zebrano.

Yep! I think that actually burlwood was standard and some people opted for zebrano which is supposedly a better wood trim. Or soemthign. I can ask pops later tonight.

That was my impression, I think Brett's right though (although backwards) about it being optional.

Personally, I don't like burlewood. I think zebrano kicks ***.

'93 400E. Burl. And I believe it's walnut. Standard on v8s, and I've seen it on quite a few coupes as well.

how much for the wood?

How much for the wood in the picture? which btw is the Zebrano wood, stock in all 300e's, the burl was only available in the 300CE's and 400 and 500's. My burlwood has a few marks on it and I'd love to have a replacement available, but have never seen pricing.
Thanks!
kurt
