Exclamation Anyone know the exact location of starter?

Well unfortunately my poor baby wont start anymore as of friday evening

I have tried Searching but have come up with no Answers, so I'm just gonna go ahead and replace the starter.

Does anyone here know where it is? I couldn't find the damn thing!

Here are my symptoms -

1. Once key is in the ignition and turned all the way it wont click, tick, crank, you name it, it wont do it! Everything will come on ie. Lights, radio, you name it, it works! But, no matter how many times I try to make it turn it just wont...

2. I thought it would be NSS but it is not, I placed the car in netural and same thing, nothing! Wont even budge. I started experiencing this when I noticed I would turn the car on and would noticed the Tach would get somehow "stuck" on like the 2500 mark when turning over, it would start but I would always notice the tach stuck for like a second...then back to normal.

3. I have an amazing Idle (cant feel the car running even) it idles at around 575-600 rpm on drive and around 850-900 on park. OVP is fine, has fairly new sparkplugs, I can hear my fuel pumps running...

So COULD it be the starter?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated

95% of the time it's the battery rather than the starter.

Fact lights work is meaningless.

yes, driver's side towards the bottom. The starter cranks the flywheel which is very near to the transmission.

The only thing that's difficult about it is that you have to jack up your car and put it on jack stands.

It should be very easy. Just be sure to disconnect the battery first.

dude, go to walmart and get some - you need them anyway if you're going to do any other work on your car.

1. Alternator
2. Serpentine Belt (WHAT A *****)
3. Alternator wiring harness (well you really dont need a jack or anything for this one)
4. and now my starter

all without the use of any jacks or stands The serpentine Belt was a F@CKING NIGHTMARE!

sure, you CAN, you can also do it on a hill without the emergency brake on and with the car running.

if you just have the jack holding up the car, just the torque from struggling with a stuck bolt can tip the jack over and crush your head.

Well I mean you can...I think, but you after you disconnect it you would have to find a way to reconfigure your Belt...or you can go back to the shop and order a "non-AC" serpentine Belt (cuz its chorter) but I dont really know if it can be done

LOL you and your questions saij

Luv you

The ****s broken, and its going to run me about 2k to fix it so screw that. I want to drop some weight by removing all my useless AC stuff and get a new belt that way I can get whatever HP is lost into my non-functional AC assembly.
