lots of cars
Dude, wtf?!? I'm starting to think you do "special favors" for your mechanic or something!!! j/k. I just can't believe these deals that you get!
Lol ...Naw, I shop around alll day!..like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4dtQzfeAw I really don't got anything else do to other than get the best deals lol...I can say i get alot of stuff below wholesale...Ebay is another way to go...and i do visit the junk yards a bit to find parts...

The secret is living in So Cal....Also sending work to your mechanic helps get you cheaper deals...sometimes my mechanic is not always the cheapest so i jump to the next best mechanic who won't charge an arm and a leg but it depends because what's easy for one mechaninc is not for the next so that's why the price changes....

Learning about the rates and how long it takes to get a job done helps alot because some repair shops charge more because they've never worked on a car like yours and take longer because they learn on your car which is a NO NO!!

quick hint

Don't overtighten the transmission oil pan when you put it back on. You will punch a hole in your gasket and end up having tranny fluid everywhere and having to buy a new gasket.

P.S. Tranny fluid is hard to wash out of your hair.

damn all this time my parents had our w124 (the one im driving now) never had a tranny fluid change or the rear gear oil replaced. The only thing i always do is an oil change. I think i need to do a full service fluid change what do you guys think. It has i think 210,xxx mile by now i think.

change engine and tranny oil, forget rear end

As long as the rear end fluid is filled up, just leave it. It is a huge pain to change. You have to buy a special like 27mm hex wrench (WTF? seriously if you ever look at it your like Why?) to drain, I think I went to like 6 different places before I found it, and then getting the new fluid in is a real chore. That stuff is so thick and wear is pretty minimal, I wouldn't bother.

Pps. Axel grease is even harder to wash out of your hair than tranny fluid!
