Electrical Problem

I have a 94 E-320 Wagon. Yesterday the gauges all went to zero and the combo relay(Wiper , turn signals)started to buzz real loud. When I tried to start the car the started would not engage. I used a remote starter switch and the car started and ran fine but still no gauges and the realy still buzzed. The signals wipers etc did not work. Several of the fuses tested show no power but when I bypass the fuse still nothing works. I also had a spare relay which worked off and on. I put it in and I still had the same problem and the loud buzzing.
The wiring harnes is good and I the wires to the starter are new.
I did a search and could not find anyone with the same problem. I am going to get a new combo relay but I am open to any other suggestions.
Thanks

Have you ever swapped your fuses out from the originals? The dissimilar metals in the stock fuses/fuse box leads to corrosion and can create electrical problems. Check out mercedesshop.com for a kit.
Also, sometimes the fuses can be blown because of hairline cracks that are hard to see. I would suggest pulling them out and looking very closely.
Maybe the switch itself is bad.
Just a few thoughts for you.

Matt,
Thanks for the advise. I went home and went through the fuses again and #5 was bad although it looked fine. As soon as I replaced it everything went back to normal. I will go ahead and replace them all. This message board is great.

I JUST changed all my fuses on Sunday after a few electrical issues... my god, what a difference... I can lock my doors without my stereo amps cutting out and making my dome light/seatbelt lights flash... AND my Climate Control doesn't click and do weird things... I am HAPPY!!!!!
