coils

I would have a rough idle at stops, really annoying. My mechanic looked at it when I was having the tranny replaced and it had a bad coil. Replaced it and it idles like a dream now. If you have the M104 engine, you have three coils in the valve train crotch of the engine. They are easy to replace, but I don't know how to test them yourself to see if they are bad. Not an expensive fix.

I'm pretty sure a 89 ce has an m103 engine.

I don't know if the coils are as easy as an m104 or not.
