300ce Sportline appraisal
hello
I own a 1993 300ce sportline silver with black leather interior and I need to have the car appraised .
the problem is i m not sure of its value .< dollar of course>
the car has all options but phone.
IMMACULATE black leather interior , sunroof ,the paint is very good for its age .
the car has always been maintained by a Mercedes certified mechanic and no expenses were spared, over 16 k since new has been spent on it
New tires as of tomorrow ,Michelin exalto on original rims ,new brakes ,rotors etc etc, you get the picture.
its a beautiful ride, the car has 110,000 miles
my insurance co. tells me the car is worth between 11 000 to 13 000 dollars .
what do you think?
thank you so much

kbb is a great start. . But if your car is in near-perfect shape... i.e., in a condition that would attract people who are prospective collectors, you might get away with added a couple thousand dollars to the asking price.
But you will have to take excellent pics of it, clean it up perfectly, and give very detailed descriptions of the car. You will have to make potential buyers very sure that the car is nearly perfect. And you'll have to wait a lot longer before you can find a buyer.
$11k - $13k is double what your car would get in my area, according to Kbb. It shows that it's worth $6,165 in excellent condition via private party sale, with 110k mi.
Nada shows that you could get $8,950. But in the end, it all depends on what the seller is willing to pay and what you are willing to sell for. You may get more, you may get less. These sites just use averages.

check MB Star
check the pricing in the Mercedes Benz Star magazine, many of these cars are owned by dyed in the wool MB pilots and have exellent as well as verifiable maintainance history. You will see MUCH higher prices for these cars, but usually you get what you pay for. Check their website: http://www.mbca.org/pages/star.htm
